In recent years, there's been a noticeable shift in the way people get their nails done. More and more individuals are opting for at-home nail techs over traditional salons.

In Washingtonville, New York, a young entrepreneur is turning heads with her impressive nail artistry. Zariah, a high school senior has transformed her passion for nail design into a thriving home-based business, all while balancing the demands of school and extracurricular activities.

Zariah Pace explains “I was never satisfied with how nail salons did my nails, so my dad, an entrepreneur himself, encouraged me to learn and do it better on my own. I started practicing on myself and my friends for two years, perfecting my skills. Eventually, people began telling me to create an Instagram page to showcase my work. Once I did, my business and clientele grew beyond anything I could have imagined.”

nail techs often provide a more personalized experience. With fewer clients to juggle in a day, these techs can focus on individual needs and preferences. This one-on-one attention can lead to better results and a more satisfying experience overall.

Zariah appreciates beauty and artistry, and uses nails as a way to express her creativity. She started doing nails 4 years ago and has been constantly progressing since then. She does nails in a workspace in her backyard.

Samantha Grace, a student at Washingtonville adds “ I have been going to Zariah for three years now, and everytime I am satisfied. She does designs that the salon could never do. Whenever I need to book a nail appointment Zariah is the first person I think of, She does the best nails”.

Zariah explains“ The hardest part of running my own business is finding a balance between work and my personal life. I often get so focused on my business that I forget to take breaks, leading to overworking myself. I’m very passionate about what I do, so it’s easy for me to lose track of time, but I’m learning that rest is just as important for long term success.”

Zariah has had 100’s of clients in the past 4 years.she has built her own business from the ground up while attending high school. At such a young age she has done something most adults can’t, and with nail techs becoming more popular than salons Zariah’s business will continue to thrive in the future.
