Beginning the day is hard, especially for those who are currently dealing with finals or finishing up the school year. As for me, I am currently struggling to wake up every morning and to arrive at school knowing that I have a full schedule ahead. It is important to wake up early in order to start this routine. Every morning, I have a routine to share with the viewers to help them get started for the day.

In my opinion, every little step matters as long as the brain is functioning. So, I would get up and head toward the bathroom to ensure my well-being. I would start off with my shower routine of two types of soap, a loofah sponge, and thoroughly cleansing everywhere. For the base soap, I would use antibacterial soap so I can feel clean before applying the scented one. After that, I keep some suds from the previous soap on there and add the scented soap to feel cleaner.

After the shower, I would move on to skincare. The night before, I would apply face oil before bed. But by morning, my face would still have residual oil. So, I would wash it off and apply a quick facial cleanser to rinse off the oil. Then I would use a face mask. For most face masks, the directions will say to keep it on for fifteen minutes. In those fifteen minutes, I will put my focus elsewhere.

My focus will shift to moisturizing. I will moisturize by using an oil then a lotion. It is important to get into the dry crevices of the face. Deodorant and perfume or cologne is a must, they complete the outfit. When using a deodorant, use an antiperspirant the night before (it is scientifically proven to reduce sweat according to several reputable sources). After the shower, use another deodorant because certain deodorants last.

Dental hygiene is a must as many people tend to judge when one’s breath is not so pleasant. To freshen the breath, use mouthwash first then floss. After flossing, brushing is necessary.  It is optional to use mouthwash twice, but it does not hurt to be hygienic.

When the fifteen minutes are up, there are two ways to finish the routine. If the mask is a peel, then the routine is complete. But, if the mask is solidified, rinse it off and apply a facial oil.

Now that the routine is complete, many will feel refreshed and incorporate this routine for a great day.
