Longtime Public Servant Jean Day announces Run for Wallkill Town Council, Ward 1. Residents in the Town of Wallkill will soon see a familiar face on the ballot. Community member and healthcare professional Jean Day has officially announced her candidacy for Town Council in Ward 1, bringing decades of public service experience and a message centered on community connection and leadership.
In her announcement, Day introduced herself as someone deeply rooted in the town, saying, “I’m Jean Day, and I’m proud to call Wallkill my home.” Although now retired, Day emphasized that her professional background continues to shape her desire to serve locally. She noted that she brings “over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field,” highlighting a career built around helping others and strengthening community well being.
